PET.CT (Positron Emission Tomography . Computed Tomography) breast screening can help physicians make difficult diagnostic decisions more accurately, particularly in case of dense breast tissues, implants and post-mastectomy follow-up, where other methods have proved inconclusive.

PET.CT imaging is utilized by clinicians to confirm the effectiveness of treatments where it is most predictive of success: at the cellular level. PET.CT scanners enables physicians to detect the metabolic changes in cancer cells that precede physiologic changes in patients and place this information in precise anatomical context. Physicians regularly use PET.CT for the staging and restaging of patients with breast cancer, determine how they are responding to treatment, and provide early warning of the spread of the disease to other organs.
